Do note that in your linked tweet Woke Zombie, he's misread his own posted chart: the chart shows cases per million per WEEK, and he's read it as per DAY.

Having said that, it's interesting watching omicron blow through my country of NZ. I came down with symptoms 10 days ago and tested positive, and had been nowhere except the supermarket for weeks. Now it's all up in my Grandfather's care home, and we're waiting to see what happens there - though from the stats I remember reading, centenarians actually tend to survive better than those ~80 years old.

Had not heard that about centenarians... interesting, perhaps these days you only need to be moderately healthy to make it to 80, but exceedingly healthy to make 100?

I'll admit I haven't look into the differences in fatality rates for those over 80, but this idea would certainly make sense to me.

Thanks for the note. I'll add a correction.

It's fascinating to watch how this is playing out. I'm curious as to how the general public in New Zealand is handling this?

Unfortunately I can't tell you much; I've ended up cutting off communication with a lot of people here since the covid fiasco began, and I simply can't endure listening to the NZ media!

I do have some observations, though. Some of my family are living in a fear-induced paranoia, driven by government propaganda. There's a rather sickly child in my extended family, and his parents have isolated their entire household from everyone and everything, not even wanting family to visit and help out until the omicron wave is completely over. And that is a big deal, since they are barely surviving the stress and challenges of their family situation.

On the other side, I'm surprised at how receptive family friends have been when I've broached the topic of covid treatment protocols and explain that treatment has been suppressed all over the West, but not for lack of evidence. I've been handing out the FLCCC protocol and discussing NAC as an extra, and reinforcing the importance of vitamin D (which almost everyone in the West tends to be deficient in), and specify a good website to order it all from affordably... and many of them did place orders.

From what little I've discussed with people, about half of them seem to believe that we've been lied to. Perhaps it's the lack of vaccination efficacy and endless boosters that have done it; I don't push the issue.

Another minor observation, I've been stopped by crazy old men in the supermarket twice in recent months, who both start talking about the bullshit going on in world politics. There was one about covid a few months back, and yesterday one started talking about the lies coming out of Ukraine.

Like the USA, the NZ government paid our media a large amount of money to push the vaccine propaganda... I think it was in the range of $100m NZD (~$70m USD), which is a large amount of money here. It would appear there have been a fair proportion of people who have noticed how one-sided the coverage is. That in itself is odd to me, since one of the things I love and hate about NZ is how remote it is, and how remote it *feels*. We're a world away from all the goings-on in the news, and our SMALL media ecosystem is really our only window to the greater world.

Thanks for sharing. Your observations sound a lot like what we have dealt with here in the states.

I can tell that more people are waking up to reality, but it’s been a slow process.
