It would appear that our Government Public Health Betters are currently presenting us with two contradictory messages regarding the Covid Vaccines.
Message A: Even after you are fully vaccinated, you must continue to distance and mask, because you can still spread the virus to others.
Message B: After you are vaccinated, you must show your Vaccine Passport when going out in public, to ensure only vaccinated individuals are allowed in public spaces, so that others around you are safe.
If Message A is true, and the vaccines do not prevent virus transmission, then there can be no public health benefit to Vaccine Passports. If you are as likely to get the disease from someone whether or not they are vaccinated, then why would you care what their status is? The vaccines would only offer a personal health benefit.
After a year plus of being lied to about lockdowns, school closures, business restrictions, and masks, is it really a surprise at all that we are being lied to about the vaccines?
It seems both of these messages aren't about public health at all, but about compliance and control.
The reality is this: The vaccines are proven to be effective at preventing Covid disease and death (though to a lesser certainty), and there is no evidence nor reason to believe that vaccinated individuals can spread the virus at a substantial rate.
If you are at risk, you should get vaccinated. If you are worried at all about Covid, you should get vaccinated. If you haven't had Covid and just want one less thing to worry about, get vaccinated. But regardless, we should all unite against the terrible idea of Vaccine Passports.
The creation of a public health permission society would be the antithesis of liberal democracy. A regime more in line with a Chi-Com Social Credit Score than the freedoms the West used to cherish. It won't benefit public health, and it would likely worsen, not relieve, vaccine hesitancy.
You can't rule innocent men, and we shouldn't try.
Anyway 0 and 2…
