Update on Kyrie Irving and NYC's Workplace Vaccination Requirement
Either Get Jabbed or Hire an Agent...
Last week I wrote about the Curious Case of Kyrie Irvin who due to New York City's Workplace Vaccination Requirements can attend an NBA game as a fan but not as a player.
This requirement doesn't just affect Kyrie, but every unvaccinated employee in the city from a cashier at McDonald’s to a Broadway lead. It would also soon begin to affect unvaccinated Mets and Yankees players even though they play their games outside...
Well the Mayor has taken note, and luckily for us The Science has changed and it's being reported that Mayor Eric Adams will soon lift the mandate... if you're famous.
That's right, the Kyrie situation was just too absurd, and the prospect of locking out unvaxed Yankees from opening day would be all the more absurd. So instead, the vaccination requirement is being dropped for all athletes and other professional performers.
On the other hand if you are an unvaccinated child in New York City public school, you are still banned from "High Risk" activities such as sports and theatre...
And if you worked as a cashier for McDonalds but haven't had the jab, you can still walk up to the counter at any fast food joint in the city without a mask or a vax pass to make an order, but forget about standing on the other side of the counter, you're still fired...
These policies might sound contradictory and simply favoring wealthy celebrities, but The Science isn't meant to be understood by us simpletons. Just leave it to the experts, they certainly have our best interest in mind.
Anyway 0 and 2...
