The CDC Just Unleashed a Wave of Child Covid Vaccine Mandates

Unanimous Support to Mandate a Drug Kids Don't Need

On Thursday the CDC's ACIP committee (Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices) voted unanimously to add the Covid Vaccine to the Child Immunization Schedule beginning in 2023. Meaning the CDC now strong recommends that every child in the country over six months old be required to take the Covid Vax. This will have major impacts for many children and parents across the country who may soon face vaccine mandates to attend school.

Johns Hopkins' Dr. Marty Makary blasts the CDC's plan to add the Covid vaccine to the childhood vaccine schedule: "... the first to be added with no clinical data ... We are basically told 'stop asking questions' ... What are they hiding? Why can't we see this information?"

In this clip  Dr. Makary does a great job explaining how unprecedented it would be to add the Covid shot to the Vaccine Schedule this soon after its initial release. It usually takes many years to decades and only comes after clinical data shows a significant benefit. He also reviews the lack of evidence that these shots provide children with any benefit and explains that there are real potential harms.

This was obvious a year ago when I predicted we’d see child Covid Vaccine mandates and explains that mandating a vaccine that doesn’t protect against significant disease risk, doesn’t prevent transmission, and doesn’t have a long term track record of safety made no sense at all.

Child Covid Vaccine Mandates Are Coming

For his part, Tucker gets a few things wrong. The CDC vote on Thursday didn't in and of itself mandate the Covid vaccine for children to attend school. The CDC actually went out of their way to correct Tucker on that fact on Twitter:

The CDC stated:

" Thursday, CDC's independent advisory committee (ACIP) will vote on an updated childhood immunization schedule. States establish vaccine requirements for school children, not ACIP or CDC"

And therein lies the rub... The CDC says, "Don't blame us, we don't establish vaccine requirements, we just make "recommendations"...

This won't affect kids everywhere in the US. For example Florida's Surgeon General put out a statement explaining that Covid Vax mandates are not allowed in Florida and not recommended for Children by the Florida Department of Health.
