Let's Compare Two St. Patrick's Day Bars in California and Florida
Freedom vs. Tyranny on Full Display
I saw these two social media posts and thought they would make a great comparison to highlight just how stark the Covid response has been in different parts of the country:
St. Patty's Day Bar in California: Defy a Cease and Desist Notice and run your bar off a gas generator because the city shut off your power.
St. Patty's Day Bar in Florida: Fully open, with a surprise visit from the governor.
Some background: The CA Bar, Tin Horn Flats located in Burbank has been defying the state and local Covid restrictions for some time. Recently the city disconnected their power and locked the building. Today they defied these orders again, and opened up their bar using a gas generator to keep the lights on.
As for the FL bar, the same experience could have been found at any other bar in the state minus the visit from Ronny D. The rhetoric characterizing the county as Free States versus Unfree States is not overblown.
Anyway 0 and 2…
