What?! You think you know better than the CDC?
So the reaction of certain media pundits to the CDC's latest mask guidance makes me very upset!
Look! We know masks work! It's why mask skeptic Sweden has the highest Covid death rate in Europe while Czechia, who masked early and often, has a death rate below the EU average. It's why Texas and Florida with their mask-less baseball stadiums and packed indoor UFC events are struggling through a wave of Covid deaths, while strict mask-mandated Michigan and New York are effectively Covid free.
Masks work, end of story!
So why would you want to give up on that kind of protection just because you are vaccinated? Do you not care about Covid? Do you not trust The Science? The CDC told us last July that if we all wore our masks Covid would be over in 8 weeks! Thanks to complainers like you, we're still dealing with this, and it won't end unless we all keep our double masks on until Dr. Fauci says it's ok to take them off!

In reality mask guidance has nothing to do with science and everything to do with vaccination rates. The CDC will slowly reduce the requirements as more people get vaccinated, because they are afraid of moral hazard and they don't think we are smart enough to think for ourselves...
Be the change you want to see in the world! Prove what vaccinated immunity looks like by greeting the world with a smile. Even here in Sacramento you'll get way more smiles back then you might think. Especially from workers in stores with "mask mandates". They are the folks that want this mask madness to end more than anyone else...
Need one more example. Now Michigan is making explicit what to this point has been implied. Take a look:
In Michigan "The Science" as to whether you need to wear a mask depends on what percent of those around you are vaccinated.
In fact, in Michigan, all your liberties are now prefaced on whether or not enough of your fellow citizens have taken a specific pharmaceutical product...

Also, look at the fine print under Step 4: If a vax resistant (no criteria given) variant starts spreading they might take your liberties back again. Keep in mind, if you ask Fauci he'll tell you the South African variant is already vax resistant so better hope that doesn't start spreading in Michigan... I could mention that vax resistance is all but guaranteed, but that it won't be a morality danger to the vax'd it'll just be a common cold. But something tells me that won't stop the panic...
